Jan 29, 2007 - After quite a few years of operating out of at least two different terminals at Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Air Canada has pulled all of its services -- international and domestic -- together under one roof at the newly redesigned Terminal 1.
As of January 30, 2007 arrivals and departures for all passengers on Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz and Air Canada Vacations will use Terminal 1. This comes with the opening of the new Pier F at Terminal 1 where all Air Canada's U.S. operations will be handled.
Air Canada promises quicker service, shorter walks between gates, and better customer service including new check in counters and self-serve kiosks. The intention is not only to serve Air Canada's customers better, but to make Toronto "the premier North American gateway for travellers to and from the U.S., Asia, Europe or the rest of the world," according to Montie Brewer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada.
